To our School of Toronto Dance Theatre community,

Thank you for your patience as we continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation. As you may know, the Ontario provincial government recently announced the enforced closures of all non-essential services and businesses. Our top priority is the safety of our students and the community at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre. As a result, The School has decided to suspend all in-person activities until May 15, 2020. This includes the following:
  • Professional Training Program. The School will be extending Spring break until April 5, 2020. Online coursework and classes will commence during the week of April 6, 2020.
  • All recreational programs (Young Dancers’ Program, We Dance, and Adult Recreational classes)
  • Both performance runs of ACCELERATION 2020 and MOMENTUM 2020, and special events. The School will be in contact with ticket purchasers directly in the upcoming weeks.
  • The 2020 Graduation Ceremony on May 10, 2020.

We regret to share this disappointing news, but feel that it is a responsible decision for the health of our community. The building at 80 Winchester Street will remain closed, and staff and faculty continue to self-isolate and are working remotely.

Please continue to practice social distancing and self-isolation, and stay connected with us virtually through our website, and on our various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) @schooloftdt.

If you have traveled recently or been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, avoid contact with others and follow-up with your health care professional. Information on preventative measures may be found on the Government of Canada website, and for current updates from Toronto Public Health, please visit toronto.ca/coronavirus. If you have any questions or concerns, you can still reach us at the office by email.

We hope this message finds you happy and healthy.

Sincerely,

The School of Toronto Dance Theatre
