To our School of Toronto Dance Theatre community,

As you know, the World Health Organization has declared the COVID-19 situation a pandemic. At The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, our first priority is the health and safety of our community — including students, staff, and visitors. Given the growing concern around COVID-19, and the most recent news and information available, the School has made the difficult decision to suspend programs as follows:
  • All recreational programs (Young Dancers’ Program, We Dance, and Adult Recreational classes) are suspended until April 5, 2020.
Classes will resume on April 6, 2020.
  • Professional Training Program: Spring break extended and classes are suspended until March 27, 2020. Classes will resume on March 30, 2020.
  • ACCELERATION 2020 will be postponed until further notice.

We regret to share this disappointing news, but feel that it is a responsible decision for the health of our community.

As the news around COVID-19 is changing daily and hourly, these suspensions may be extended. At this time, we will try to extend the program terms. More information will follow as it becomes available.

If you have traveled recently or been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, avoid contact with others and follow-up with your health care professional. As always, if someone is experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, you are encouraged to stay home or seek medical attention. Information on preventative measures may be found on the Government of Canada website, and for current updates from Toronto Public Health, please visit toronto.ca/coronavirus. If you have any questions or concerns, you can still reach us at the office by email or phone.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
