The School of Toronto Dance Theatre is heading East, and we’re coming to a studio near you! The School is holding pre-professional contemporary dance workshops in Halifax, NS on Saturday, February 22, 2020 and Montréal, QC on Sunday, February 23, 2020! Learn from some of the School’s senior faculty members, and get a taste of what it’s like to train at one of Canada’s top professional training institutions.

The workshops are open to dancers ages 14+

Additionally, there will be an opportunity for dancers ages 17+ to audition to join our renowned Professional Training Program in September 2020. Those interested in auditioning should contact Andrea Roberts for more details on the application requirements and process.

Darryl Tracy is a Toronto-based independent dance artist, choreographer, interpreter, teacher, and producer. He is a senior faculty member and Resident Choreographer at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, and as a dancer has created roles by many of Canada’s leading dancemakers. Johanna Bergfelt, a native of Sweden, graduated from The Royal Swedish Ballet School in 1989. Since moving to Canada in 2000, she has worked with numerous Canadian choreographers, and was a company dancer with Toronto Dance Theatre for six years. Johanna teaches regularly at Canada’s National Ballet School, GMD, and The School of Toronto Dance Theatre. Read more about Johanna here…
