AGOSTINELLI,M_Danceshot_BWcropJUDITHMassimo Agostinelli, South African born to Italian parents, is a Montreal-based choreographer, mentor, and international master teacher of Bouffon theatre. He has been a resident teacher and choreographer at L’École de danse contemporaine de Montréal since its inception over 30 years ago, and has been artistic director and choreographer for Tanz Danse, Collège Montmorency’s dance troupe, since 1994.

Agostinelli has worked as artistic teacher and coach for Le Cirque du Soleil’s artists since 2004. He teaches Bouffon for their corporate events, including Bombardier, Disney, Young Presidents’ Organization, and other corporations. He has also worked on Le Cirque du Soleil’s special events in Las Vegas, for Red Bull in Santa Monica, and on many other Cirque research projects.

Agostinelli choreographs and teaches Bouffon for L’ École de danse de Québec, The School of Dance (Ottawa), and The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, amongst other artistic institutions. He has created and directed two corporate shows for Cirque Éloise, and two Bouffon productions for the Vancouver Fringe Festival. In 2013, he launched his new company, Écho, whose members are alumni of the Tanz Danse troupe. Agostinelli also makes original jewelry and paints with acrylics on canvas.
